Throughout the development of the ideas regarding the development of this video, there has been consistent differences within the group. After the failure to materialise our zombie idea due to low numbers of volunteers, lack of funds and general difficulty with organisation, we have scrapped the idea. The fact that we were planning to do a music video involving my band, with the substory of the zombie thing means that we have a lot of logistical problems to sort out with 2 subject matters to deal with. Dan (The teacher for the production side of our course) has suggested that we focus solely on the band side of the video. We did organise the 'zombies day out' on facebook, but it rained on the day and we were left without the option of filming outside with a large horde as we had first planned. This left us with just a few photos of made up zombies to use for our digipack and advert.
Shortly after this outing, two members of the group, Katie and Lucy, have left the group to start their own video. So now it is just me and Doug with the mission of creating the least original type of music video, a live band playing. The loss of half our group is not going to hold us back, as they did not much contribute to the actions of the group anyway. Me and doug are the ones who have had all the practice in the recreation of the weezer video with shooting and editing, and I have the privelage of being in a band that can give us some variety away from the normal A level media video submissions. We plan to start shooting immediately.
